Bedroom Studios Podcast Episode 42 | Luke Fair: Translating Story into Sound

Bedroom Studios Podcast Episode 42 on Youtube featuring mix engineer and producer Luke Fair

It was such a joy to hang and chat with Emma on the Bedroom Studios Podcast. For the second time I might add. Our first conversation was hilariously full of excitement that this new season has video!…only to then find out the video didn’t record. But I have a great time talking to Emma and there’s no fear of running out of things to talk about so I would have done it a third time just for fun.

In this episode we talk about my philosophies towards making music that dictate how I work alongside artists to tell their stories through the sound of their record. We touch on the origins of the Rosetta Sound name and concept. Emma asks questions clarifying the processes of making a song, from writing to producing to mixing and finally mastering. At the time of the recording of this episode we were just gearing up to mix her upcoming EP. I was also in the process of helping her refresh the theme music of this podcast itself, giving it some new life with new recordings and a full mix and master. Since this recording I’ve become even more involved in the podcast and now every episode of season five of the Bedroom Studios Podcast will be mixed by yours truly at Rosetta Sound.
